The short of it:

After 3.5 years together, a year of living together, and eight months of owning a house together, Neil and I have seriously discussed marriage. Went ring shopping last weekend---the whole nine yards. So it's not so much of if we get married, but rather it will be "official" when the poor boy can scrape together enough money to pay for my ring and thus become engaged, or something.
