My friends, I am back! I had a good weekend out in Glamis(the desert for you non-SoCal peeps). It was absolutely beautiful out there, nothing but blue sky all around and dunes as far as your eyes could see. My girlfriend Emma invited me out there and they were leaving Thursday so she had her good family friend, and friend of J's family too, Frank take me out there with him on Friday. So we met her out there and set up camp. Turns out she had passed out from drinking all day so Frank and I grabbed a couple beers and headed over to the fire where this lady Cindy, who I knew from the bar & ended up being good friends with all these people, yelled out, "OH! It's Nikki!" And I'm thinking, "ummmmm, who the hell are you?" But I figured it out eventually. This guy Troy who I know through J's family and is friends with Frank, his dad was there and he said he recognized me but I didn't know who he was. He told me that he worked for the CDF and he would always call to take care of the billing for the fire stations. I asked him what his last name was and then I totally knew who he was. It's a small freaking world. I mean, granted we were out there with a bunch of people that we knew but I was NOT expecting those people. You know what I mean? Sheesh. On Saturday we woke up and had breakfast and quite a few bloddy marys. Then Frank, Troy, Charelle and I all went out riding to Oldsmobile which is a huge sand hill that quads, trucks, buggys, and bikes race up. I rode with Frank in his buggy and that's always fun, I love riding out in the dunes. Got to the hill, drank some vodka and Diet Sunkist then drank some beer. Emma, Cindy, and Mark finally showed up with Bill(Troy's dad). Mark and Bill both drive land cruisers and they are sweet! Mark's is this little yellow jeep looking thing and I think it is a 74 but it's all done up and rebuilt it's freaking nice. Bill's is like this old army SUV land cruiser and it's even better because it's all old school. You drive on the right side and it's something that you would see out of MASH. Bill is great, he's a cool cat haha. Then we rode back to camp once all the beer was gone and had lunch. Drank some more beer, filled up the cooler with beer, went to the sand drags and drank some beer, then headed back to camp once the beer ran out and the sun went down. I took a nap for like an hour and a half, then Frank and I cooked some carne asada which was sooooo dank. Omigod, it was so good. Then we went on a little night ride but two of four lights on Frank's buggy kept going out so we finally headed back... after some beer. Sunday we woke up, I made breakfast, Cindy made mimosas that were SOOOO GOOOD! Better than the carne asada and we chilled out, drank some beer. Some people that knew one of the people we were camping around let me ride their little quad and I am determined to have one one of these days! It is fuuuuuuun. And finally we came back and got home around 430-5.

After that I took a shower and hauled ass down to my grandma's b-day dinner at PF Changs(A really good chinese bistro) and had lots of fun sitting, eating, and talking with my family. Gotta love the family.

All in all, great weekend and I hope you guys had the same. Til' next time!
