The Big Number Two
I had a rather rare occurrence the other day. I actually asked a girl (Sarah Ruiz) to Homecoming. This will only be my second dance at canyon in the two years that I’ve been here.
Friday morning, I get to school with a dozen roses. I can't get into her locker so I do the next best thing and leave it in an unlocked locker with a note directing her there. Inside, there was one long stem rose with a note saying "It's for you Sarah." Thanks to the help of my good friends they left the next two roses on her desk in first period. She later goes to third period where she finds three roses waiting for her on her desk. Late in the period, I had Kevin Aranguri give her a call slip to get out of class. He gives her a little velvet red teddy bear saying that somebody wanted this delivered to her. Then finally I greet her in the halls with the remaining six roses and I gave her this poem: I spent all morning making you guess. Now my beloved Sarah, please just say "yes." Schweet.
I'm happy that things turned out the way they did. It's a great feeling. She is beautiful. I can't wait. Congratulations to everybody else that asked or got asked. See you October 30th Canyon. "Party on Wayne. Party on Garth."
