Ugh! And recs.
Just sent off another grad school application... my laptop is somewhat free of viruses (for now -- don't even get me STARTED on how the last week has been)... and I just got my new external hard drive in the mail at last. I think it's a sign. A sign from God. A sign from God that it's time to VID.
But first, I need to finish one more application. I reiterate: ugh. And, uh, happy holidays and stuff?
While I am between applications, let me take this opportunity to rec the two (two!!) lovely fics written for me for Yuletide. I have no idea which is my main story and which is the treat, (apparently the notification emails chose one at random?), but it really doesn't matter, they're both AWESOME.
Job Security, a lovely, sharp little Animorphs fic with great Tobias and Jake insight and a whole lotta doom hanging overhead. I just reread it, and yeah -- ouch. Great stuff.

Buggre All This, the Merlin bodyswap story of my DREAMS. It's adorable, well-characterized, dramatic in just the right places, and Arthur's point of view is hilariously perfect. Love!
This year's Yuletide was really freaking great.
And while I have your attention for things such as Merlin crack, y'all should check out Night at the Opera, an Merlin vid medley by such_heights. This vid has completely usurped my Queen/Highlander OTP for sheer cracktastic rock opera goodness. I can't spoil you for the best parts... let me just say that Uther Pendragon is Under Pressure and Prince Arthur wants to know, "Are you ready, are you ready for this, are you hanging on the edge of your seat?" (Well, I certainly was.) Go, watch, leave feedback!
