I have come to the sudden realization that Bill and Lee Adama are kind of similar to what John and Sam Winchester would be like, if, you know, Dean had died tragically and they all happened to live in outer space.
*hides face*
The sad part is, this crazy thought has made me sympathetic to the father/son strife on BSG for the first time in approximately a season and a half. I can't stop watching them and going, "Aww! Poor Daddy Winchester Adama! Sam, wow, when did you get that haircut? Don't worry, he's proud of you really..."
In other news (and I keep swearing I'm going to find a new segue), it's 4am and I just got home from seeing Grindhouse.
Bloody and fun and made me wince and hide my face on numerous occasions. What more could one ask for? I have the sudden urge to run out and watch a lot more awful movies with long, long poledancing scenes. Oh, oh, and dude! No one told me that Rico from Six Feet Under was going to be an action star!! How cool! I also got the urge to shout, "Hey, look, Sayid got off the island!" ...but I refrained.
Also, Tarantino, that hilariously funny (AND funny-looking) man... how is he so awesome? Twistedly awesome. I don't care if it's not cool to love Tarantino anymore, I adored the last half of Death Proof more than is probably wise. (The world may be glad that I do not yet have my driver's license.) I didn't particularly enjoy how he built up to that point, but, well, that just makes the rest of it more satisfying, doesn't it? Also: Mahandra from Wonderfalls! And Zoe Bell playing herself! I looked her up on imdb; she was Lucy Lawless's stunt double on Xena. How neat! I can only assume she did her own stunts in Death Proof.
Okay, and now I should probably go to sleep. The caffeine cannot keep me coherent much longer. Sigh.
Oh! I just saw I have jellybeans! Thank you, anonymous person. That's really awesome.
