See, I had my headphones on, and was blearily staring at my computer screen trying to do homework, when I heard a bunch of people yelling and this big continuous "whooooosshh" kind of noise. Turns out that a few dozen feet from my window, somebody broke open a fire hydrant. There's this big plume of water jutting out horizontally about 20 feet in front of our dorm. I was vaguely tempted to go outside and run through it to wake myself up, before I realized I would have to be around other people, (and I would get wet), and if there's one thing in addition to tired that I am right now? It's avoidant.
Hmm. Sleep now. The gushing fire hydrant almost sounds like a gentle rain. Or like someone left the faucet running in every single bathroom in the building.
