1. So I am on day 4 of my "I'm gonna exercise everyday and eat better and lose wieght/get healthier" kick. It is actually going really well. I have been getting up, eating breakfast, then I check email, facebook, etc. as I digest, then I do at least 30 minutes of exercise, shower, and go on with my day. I have been keeping a food/exercise journal. It keeps me accountable and paying attention to my habits good and bad. As far as eating goes, I am just trying to eat smaller portions and drink a lot fo water. I am not about to start giving up foods and counting calories because that is not how I want to live. I am just doing my best to up the good and moderate the bad. Easy peasy. I have already seen results. A.) I feel better. I have energy all through out the day and I feel more alert and focused. B.) I haven't worn jeans recently because it has been too hot, but today I decided to wear them since I don't have a pair of clean shorts. And putting them on (a fresh, just been washed, not stretched out after 3 previous wears already pair), they were a lot easier going on. They have been a little snug going on and then they stretch out over time. But today, there was a lot less squeezing and wriggling in. This is a nice little motivator. I feel good. I like feeling good so I am gonna keep up the exercise and eating better.
2. School is coming up. I am excited but also not looking forward to the crazy schedule. I just hope I can balance everything and stay on top of my assignments. I am kinf of stuck on campus on MWF because I have a 3 classes (only 2 on F) and a few hours between each. I am going to try to use this time to do whatever was assigned in the class I just got out of. Then I can keep the homework at a minimum when I am at home (Because TV shall be starting up and also I want to have something akin to a life). The drive there and back is going to be interesting since I am not used to doing the commuter student thing. But I am looking forward to listening to a lot of music. My financial aid is almost totally set. They finally got my master promissory note for my new loan. Now the funds just have to be me memoed to my invoice.
3. I can' wait for early September so that I can have my refund money from school. I am going to pay off my car (oh, I cannot wait for this. I can't even imagiane not having to pay for it anymore...just so excited). I've already worked out a bit of a budget. Can't wait to have money to use for Christmas presents. I have been working on my list of what I am going to buy/make. Finally decided that I am going to knit a scarf for mom, a hat for dad, and a hat for my brother. I am not sure what to do for my sisters. I might knit something for Erica. I am not sure what to do for her husband though. I could do a present for both of them together. Hmmm. And Lauren is usually easy, but now there is her fiance too. Do I get something for him, or do a present for them as a couple? This is confusing. Also, I have ideas for my friends, but I can't post that. Never know who is reading this, haha. Anyway, I can't wait to have my money so I can do some shopping. Also, I want to go to the yarn shop so bad to buy yarn for my projects. I haven't been to the yarn shop in such a long time. I'm used to having to go to Michaels or Joanns for yarn. I love those stores, but I am excited to use some higher quality, mre unique yarn.
4. Next week my mom and I are going to Columbus to go wedding dress/bridesmaid dress shopping with Lauren. It will be fun. She has already told me my job is to determine whether the bridesmaids should wear long or shorter dresses. It will be an interesting day. I will have to be patient though because I cannot stand her maid of honor. Ugh.
5. Been reading. My goal is to read at least 4 more books before school starts, because then it is going to be all assigned reading all the time.
6. I have a few projects to work on this week so those with the reading should keep me busy.
Going to go finish up Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes now. Then thinking about maybe reading Emma.
