Stuff

Stuff.  That's all this entry is.  Stuff thathappened, is happening, or is going to happen.  You know.  Stuff.

1.  I saw the Phantom of the Opera at the Fox Theatre a couple of weeks ago.  It was amazing.  The effects, the music, everything was pretty spectacular.  Cross that off my list of things I want to do in my life.

2.  Summer classes are almost over.  I have to write a research paper.  Going to work on that later.  Hopefully it isn't to difficult to get done.  I just want to have it over with.  Classes are over on Thursday.  Then I have 2 weeks before fall classes start.  I want to find out already if I am going to be a senior mentor for Servant Leadership.  I think I will be, but I want the offical word and information regarding the Freshman retreat I would be going on.

3.  With school comes financial aid and the screwing over that the school likes to partake in.  They keep lowering the amount I am getting.  So lame.  At least now it should stay at the amount I am getting for my refund.  Sooo I will have no money for any of the major expenses I ahve coming up like buying 2 bridesmaid dresses and things of that nature.  I will have my money set aside for the trip to Disney World my sister and our roomate are planning for May.

4.  I had a job interview on Friday, so if I get the position I won't have to worry about money and lame finacial aid crap.  The interview went very well and I am just waiting now to hear back.  The position as at a private school's extended day program.  If I get the position I won't be able to volunteer at Girls Inc.  But I have to be realistic and be able to support myself.

5.  I have been a knitting maching lately.  I have two Christmas presesnts done and I am about halfway done with another.

6.  I decided to stop reading the book I have been reading forever now.  Which is hard for me to do since I read more than half of it in hopes it would get better.  It isn't.  It is Annette Vallon: A Novel of the French Revolution by James Tipton.  It is soooo boring.  Tipton clearly doesn't know how to tell a good story.  The events that are taking place should be interesting and should be drawing me in.  He tells them in such a way that everything seems so uneventful or of having no impact.  So I stopped reading it after wasting my whole summer on it.  NOt hat I have been reading much, but still.  So that book is going in the Goodwill pile.  I started reading Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day by Winifred Watson and it is in a word: delightful.  I love it.  I have the movie (with the wonderful Lee Pace in it) and love it and the book is just as good if not better.  I have only read the first 2 chapters, but I know it will be great.  So much better than that lame-o book that had only one clever lineour of the hundreds of pages I read.  I think I am going to have a read-a-thon when I have my short break between semesters.  I will see how many books in my stash I can read.  It is my serious goal to have all my un-read books read before I reread books I own or buy or vheck out new ones from the library.

PS: Tags you are annoying and lame as heck.
