Speak to my heart, tell what you know...

Spring break is almost over.  This is way to sad.  I had unrealistic goals set for it.  I thought I would get ahead on assignments and stuff.  Yeah.  Right.  But I needed a break.  I could really use a whole other week, but I won't complain (too much).  Now I am just focusing on enjoying my freedom, because starting Monday I am going to be going non-stop for the rest of the semester.  I just hope I can keep my energy and motivation up and my stress and procrastination down.   I got my placement for observations in a school for my SPED class.  It is at the same high school I observed at last year.  It is a nice school, and preferrable to somewhere in the ghetto, but it is a half hour drive to get there as it is in the county north of here.

I had a good time at my mom's house.  We ate fast food for basically every meal which is kind of good and kind of bad.  Good because I never get that kind of stuff for myself, being very financially concerned and all that jazz.  It was bad, because, well, it is fast food.  Not the healthiest way to live.  But I did m best to have small portions and pick healthier foods.  I do love Zaxby's salads.  My mom and I split one and it was delish.

While I was at my mom's, I sort of got addicted to something.  I am now addicited to...exercise.  Seriously.  She has an exercise bike so I rode on that every morning for about 25-30 minutes.  Now I feel like my day is incomplete if I don't do some form of exercise.  I tried to go without it yesterday, but I couldn't.  So I did this dvd that came in a Special K box that my mom gave to me.  It is kind of crazy, and funny, but a good workout.  I can definitely feel the burn as I go.  At least this is a good addiction.  I wish i had an exercise bike though.  That is really fun, and I can listen to my mp3 player as I ride.  I still need to exercise today...

In other news on the health front, I have been doing very well when it comes to healthy snacks.  I haven't bought a bag of chips in a while.  I can't remember the last time!  I actually just ate a little parfait.  It was amazing.  Wal Mart brand vanilla yogurt is really, really.  I added some chopped up strawberries and vanilla almond crunch granola and Voila!  Super yummy snack.
I am about to make some oatmeal raspberry bars.  Never made them before, but my mom used to make them and they were so good.

My mom and I are going to go see The Phantom of the Opera at the Fox Theatre in July!!!  I can't wait.  The seats won't be great, because this show is EXPENSIVE, but it will be worth it.  It is a life goal of mine to see a professional production of Phantom and now I get to!
