65 more days until Christmas. It's exactly 2 months and 5 days away from christmas. Do you have your christmas shopping list ready? Probably not

christmas shopping is always difficult thing for me. either i get too much or not enough. i procrastinate and then don't have time to get really meaningful things and feel awful. or i buy it way too in advance and then get too excited to keep it in the closet and spring it on the person the first week of decemember.
i doubt i'll be off...but hey the holidays are always dandy! especially don't miss the craft fairs! those are fun!!! furikake mix for chibi-chan, buttermochi, handcrafts, homemade jams and jellies...
Well, haven't started my shopping yet. However, I am writing a list of people to shop for. Also trying to get ideas on what to buy them. It's really hard to find things as a gift when someone already has everything and the one thing they dont have is something u can never get for them. sometimes i think of christmas as a gift exchanging/returning holiday. u give gifts to someone, then wonder if they have returned it because u gave them the receipt. and its a known fact that people exchange/return things the day after christmas. do u get mad at the person for returning something? i personally dont really get mad, might feel that i didnt really know the person too well or well enough

sweetiedream you asked the right person about holiday craft fairs!!! my mom goes nuts for them every year and so naturally this year she's been scanning the newspapers for the annual craft fair list... here's the link to the honolulu advertiser's 2004 list:
we're going to go to the Season's Best Kaimuki Craft and Gift Fair on Nov. 6 from 9-2:30 pm at Ali'iolani Elementary School. That is supposedly the biggest and best craft fair (so popular they do it again on Nov. 20 and Dec. 4th). i'm not sure what else mom wants to go to...yet!
hope you can get a lot of christmas shopping done!
thanks for letting me know about this site. i'll going to post the ones i can and want to go to on my planner so i remember it. i think i'm going to go to the nov. 6 at aliiolani elementary. it's right up the street from where i live.
yay, i've got furikake mix from papayainthesunchibi67October 21 2004, 21:52:45 UTC
i've already started on my shopping for the older people. sean's family does secret santa every year so i've got his aunty susan. since i'm in seattle and omaha, i've been keeping my eyes peeled for something older people would enjoy. i always end up buying food.
i tried two different coffees but one is from nordstrom...does that count? i still enjoy starbucks coffee. i don't care if they're taking over the world, their coffee is so much better. =P

hey! a nordstrom coffee??? oooh, i don't know about that one... was it good? nordstrom as in the store or a different name brand? i'm proud of you though, two is great! starbucks IS number one!
i love the secret santa idea...so much i'm going to suggest it for my family this year. everyone goes crazy buying random things that just get left in the corner of the house until the following october when we start "cleaning" for the holidays. speaking of cleaning for the holidays...i can never really enjoy the time because we're always scrambling to clean the house, wrap the presents, make the food, pick up this that, this that! this year i hope my family (esp. mom) can just chill out and enjoy it!
furikake mix...you've got it! and scooby doo mix! (aka chex coated with peanut butter/chocolate and rolled in powdered sugar...trust me it tastes much better than it looks!)

i wanted to try something different so i asked the people what would be a good SWEET drink. they said that i could pick anything and just add a sweet flavor. so i got an americano with vanilla flavoring. the damn thing was quite the opposite from sweet and i had to add a lot of cream and sugar. damn bastards. well, nordstrom is actually a department store. it's like macy's so instead of starbucks they had their own coffee shop.
when i get back, we've got to go out and buy these scooby doo mixes. i really wanna try them out.
