(no subject)
So I have a second to update because I can't get turbo tax to run on my computer and Mila is sitting quietly watching sesame street in another window. She gets really mad when Big Bird isn't on the screen and says "big bird? big bird? big bird?" over and over until he comes back on.
She came up with a song in the car yesterday. The lyrics went, "No poop! No poop! No cow poop!" to the tune of the clean-up song. There were verses for everyone else in the car (No Ani poop! No Leify poop! No mommy Poop!) It was pretty cute. I think she's getting pretty close to being ready for potty-training. Once things with the baby normalize a little I think I'll start pushing it a little more.
The breastfeeding thing is limping along. I keep trying to quit but then I can't get her to take the bottle and I end up just getting out the boob instead because that turns out to be the less frustrating option. Right now I'm just happy going down the path of least resistance. My nipples are killing me, but they aren't cracked or blistered and they aren't bleeding - and the baby seems happy in general and appears to be gaining weight, so I suppose that is something. Another couple of weeks and it should be smooth sailing.
Leif is back at school today for the first day since spring break ended. He was getting so bored (not to mention spoiled beyond belief by the 3 weeks of grandparents we had at the house) that he was really starting to act out. Now that he's back in school we can get the routine going again and he'll calm down a little. I miss my sweet little guy. He has been uber-naughty for the last week, ugh.
