About two and a half weeks ago, bossman actually finally updated me and my co-worker about the job positions. He mentioned that he deeply desires for us to become both full-timers but he's basically waiting on approval and the paperwork to come through. I was content with the answer because it at least showed that he wanted to pull some strings on our behalf. He then said he imagined that the approval/paperwork would hopefully go through before X-mas, and if not by then, then early New Year, and then he would be able to give us a more definitive answer. Well...On Thursday, December 15th, my supervisor (on behalf of bossman) officially offered me the full-time position at my job!!!!! I was so ecstatic! After two and a half months of waiting for the response from bossman, I'd say it's felt like light years since I've heard from the powers that be. But still, all the same, it all happened at once, and I am so happy that I have finally landed my first real-paying,full-time job. It shouldnt be too much of a change because currently working as a part-timer, it feels like I put in full-time hours. Ha. The full-time pay is $39,800, and I officially start my full-time hours on January 9th, one day after I return from Germany.
Speaking of Germany, I am so excited to go right at the end of the year! I cant wait to see my friend, Katherina and go and travel to my heart's content. She's already told many of her friends that I am coming, so that should be fun to meet all these people who already seem to know who I am. I fly out on December 30th. She's going to take me to Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, and some other places and then land right back in her hometown, Munich. Yay!
My sis is almost ready to give birth. Also excited about becoming an aunt soon after I return from Germany. Seems like things are happening all at once here. She was earlier diagnosed with lupus, but I spoke to her on the phone tonight and she said the doctor who diagnosed her---misdiagnosed her. Also, her gestational diabetes is still around...hopefully only til the end of her pregnancy. At least the lupus scare is one less thing we have to worry about right now. Tackling diabetes is enough. Her due date is January 10th.
Well, looking forward to the holidays and the New Year. Ya'll do the same.
