Playing Dress Up and Going to Interviews

Mar 24, 2005 20:02

My job interview today for the part-time SUNY (State Universities of New York) Admissions Counselor position went well.  I arrived a little late because I couldnt find the darn building.  I realized that I passed it without even knowing it. I'm so silly sometimes.  I called them to let them know that I walked too far in the opposite direction so they knew I was going to be a little late.  I thought I would only be interviewed by one woman, but it ended up to be three.  It was ok.  I was a little nervous at first, but all three women were very pleasant and nice.

Basically, I would be working in the recruitment section, going to high schools and holding fairs,  making class presentations, etc.  It would be a lot of travelling around the city, but it'll be a piece of cake for me.  $14/hr, 25 hrs/week, benefits after 6 months, sick/vacation time: NOT A BAD IDEA!  They still have about a couple of weeks left to interview other candidates, so if they want me, I wont know until a couple of weeks from now after they deliberate all of their potentials.  In the meanwhile, I'm gonna  keeping subbing at Evangel. I would be a fool to leave that job, when I dont have a backup.
