I have been doing some thinking about my tutoring job. Well, actually, my mom really got me thinking. She told me today that I would be taken off of her insurance because a) I am 22 years of age and b) I am no longer enrolled in college. The insurance expires for me the 30th of this month, and I have yet to see the dentist. My dad is going to try to get me onto his coverage, but nothing is guaranteed just yet. That got me thinking about my tutoring, part-time after school job. I dont have any benefits, dont work many hours, and I need health coverage. I dont want to take any chances.
So I have come to an sad, but logical conclusion. I am now mainly going to look for full-time jobs because I need to get health coverage pronto. Ur health is nothing to play with. When I do acquire a full-time job, I am going to quit this after-school job. What makes me feel better about quitting after school job once I find a full time one is that to this day, the after school job employer has yet to send me my offer letter stating how much I am making and terms of employment, so technically, I am not an employee, although I have already "started working." Also, it's still pure chaos and I still dont know what's going on. So, that consoles me to an extent. Health coverage supercedes everything else right now. Also, I havent even bonded with the kids, so they wont miss me terribly.
Alrightie, back to job applications.
