Geez, I'm finally back and no longer have to be parted from my dearest live journal.
SOooooooooo
Tuesday I left for San Louis Obispo which only took about 2148857348753487599 hours to get to because traffic was horrendous, yes, that early, I know. We finally get there and I'm starved. But my grandmother, who has had it out to get me since whe insisted upon changing my name (yes she is responasable for Amelia/Zoe and therefore can be blamed for TWO FUCKING PICTURES IN THE YEARBOOK), made an all-meat dinner (chicken and beef yet nothing else) and even mixed the vegetables in with meat just sat around saying "oh Zoe, I just don't know what you are going to eat" not like she even tried. So although I had eaten nothing all day I had some rice for dinner and was still accused of eating everything (yes, it's a little game we play, "Zoe stop eating all the food" "zoe you look sickly thin"). So I stayed up to watch late night tv thinking I might glimpse BB and ate an english muffin when they all went to bed. My grandparents live halfway up a hill and my cousins live at the bottom of it so I can seek refuge there and my great aunts were visiting too, so my grandmother was fairly occupied. None the less, she made enchiladas for dinner the next night and thought I wouldn't eat them, but I would and then she said, "well I didn't make enough for you anyway". WHAT IS HER PROBLEM!?! We used to get along then she just started picking on me saying things like, "your face looks pinched", "your clothes are too tight", etc. For the holidays she sends Evan and Gemma $100...and my check gets lost in the mail...seriously. And then her sisters were there so they try to say things like "she just keeps picking on you" to trick me into saying something bad about my grandmother. Bust enough about that. Wednesday I went shopping downtown with my cousins but didn't buy anything and spent forever trying to find a bus but they all go to hearst castle (not where we wanted to go). We also went into a really cool thrift store called Decades but the guy owning it was senile and did not trust my cousin so he wouldn't leave us alone. Other than that the whole trip basically was oriented around poker. I played it for a few hours everyday with my cousins (I have one who's a year younger than me but he's pretty cool) and I watched the world series of poker. On thanksgiving I basically ate and talked
Grandma: Zoe you really should eat meat
Zoe: ok
Grandma: if you don't you start looking funny
Zoe: I look funny?
Grandma: no...but you could look better, you look so frail
Zoe: frail?!?
Grandma: maybe you're just not eating enough (48 hours after accusing me of eating all the food)
Cousin: Zoe eats enough mashed potatoes to feed a small village.
Friday morning I woke up at 5:30am to go to the Best Buys sale (family tradition). The entire store and parking lot is filled with nearly 500 people, some there as early as 2:00am. It's crazy. But we got a portable DVD player and I bought some new cds and the sims. The prices are CRAZY. The DVD player was 75% off, the cds 50% off and the sims had been $19.99 and were now $4.99. It's an early morning but it's not Sooooooo bad. I went and saw Finding Neverland that afternoon and it was supremely good. I really really loved it. I was bawling during the non sad parts and the sad parts. That night I watched the What Not to Wear marathon with my great aunt Sandy which was fun because all the people just remained ugly so we insulted them. Saturday, before we left, I went shopping again and bought a belt and shirt but I was shivering the whole time because it was freezing there so my grandmother made me buy a sweatshirt but I couldn't find one I really liked, but I got one anyway. We went to a really good thai restaurant in Silicon Valley on the way home. And then today my cousin came and picked up all mine and Gemma's old toys for her baby daughter, Kylie. Then I did homework, when shoppiong some more (but didn't find anything) and plan to watch desperate housewives tonight, because I can deny it but I love that show.
