I just received a forward of a warning for drivers with cruise control. Never use cruise control in wet or icy road situations. When you hydroplane and the car is no longer touching the road, the tires will speed up and you will fly through the air with no control. I deleted the original message and just posted the link to the snopes.com site that gives two examples and explains the truth behind it.
