The next day someone at my work yelled "BUSH WON!" and all you could here was cursing and groans of disgust coming from all the little heads popping up over their cubicles.
But you know what's worse than Bush being re-elected President of the U.S. of A?
BEING AMERICAN WHILE BUSH IS PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.OF A.!!!! hahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAAhahahahaha!!!!
Fuck being American. Fuck being any sort of European (expect Irish). If I were to choose ANY Western nationality to be, it would be CANADIAN.

Actually, I called up my mom once this summer while in Frog-country just to say "Thank you for running away to Canada and not the NYC like Auntie K. Thanks for allowing me to be born here - for bringing me into this world Canadienne."

If I weren't Canadian, but from some other developped/western country..how would I be able to live with myself? Especially American. Ew. Don't get me wrong, we're not perfect, the last residential school for Aboriginal peeps wasn't closed down untill 1981, but fuck man, we're trying...OUR MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION WEARS A TURBAN!!! Things that Torontians take for granted and as a normal part of a fuctionning society are things that are unheard of in every other country around the world-rich or poor. Toronto is seriously the best city in the world.
Cheers Canada - to our flu shots, decriminalization of weed, gay marriages, freedom to choose, and the rest of it. No matter where I am, if I decide to run away to France again, or where ever...I'll always be Canadian....Jamaican-Canadian, and I thank God, Allah, Jah, or whatever their name is, for that privlige and gift.
