But the word on the web is they've got another two films in mind, so it can go somewhere, apparently. Before I watched VI I was annoyed to know that they were making more movies because I wanted to see everything wrapped up nice and neat before they had a chance to drop the ball (I know a lot of people think they dropped the ball with IV and V but I personally think the sequels have been of a consistently good quality, compared to most horror franchises at least) but now I really wanna know what could possibly happen!
I don't mind it following Hoffman now, because I think this film proved that he's badass and wacko enough to be interesting, heh, but I still want more John and Amanda flashbacks, of course.
I personally hoped that they would wrap Saw up soon, much as I adore it and always will, 'cos I don't want the films to degrade into cliched, straight to DVD horrors.
Yeah, I have the same fear, but I think the fact that it's serialised gives it more of a right to continue then other horror series. Its got a plot that gets more and more intricate with each instalment, unlike most horror series where they just seem to make another movie for the sake of making another movie, which often is pretty much the last film with new victims.
I think VI was an improvement myself (if an insane, brain-breaking one), I don't think the series has been that exciting since III.
Same here! Not only is it gloriously gory, but it has a complex and meaningful plot with well developed characters. Best horror series of all time, if ya ask me.
That's a cool idea for a OT3! I love John/Amanda, and Zep was really fun to watch, from what we saw of him I could imagine him being an enthusiastic apprentice.
Yeah, it was just supposed to be straight to DVD as well, wasn't it? It'd be cool if he could appear in another flashback, maybe whilst John is in the hospital, or when he was getting the instructions for his test. That's something that always confused me, because Lawrence had the picture of his wife and daughter tied up in his pocket, which must have been taken after Zep captured them. It makes me think that Zep must have been in contact with either John, Amanda or Hoffman during his test so that he could have given the picture to them. Plus there's also the question as to where he got that computer and timer from.
Well, with Lost winding up maybe Michael Emerson will return to Saw! :D Flashbacks with him would be cool. I think Zep's involvement may have been just as you supposed it. Many fans have speculated that Zep may have been an apprentice, but I suppose with Mike's commitment to Lost they never wrote him that way.
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Like, more so than when I see a Saw film.

But whatever happens, I'll keep watching. I'm just hooked on Saw!

I will always have a soft spot for Saw, no matter what, though the first three movies are my faves.

My favourites are I, III and maybe VI, I'll have to see it again before I make up my mind.

And thanks. I love John, Amanda and Zep - in my AU stories they're my OT3!

And yeah, I wish they had kept Zep alive, but I think they didn't as Saw I was supposed to be a one off rather than a series.
