Substituting sucks
I have worked a total of 3 days in the past 2 weeks. I barely have enough money to pay off my phone and my dad for the car - nevermind the fact that it was Vin's birthday yesterday and our 6 month anniversary on thursday. Normally during the summers, I work at least 3 days a week. I should have known this was going to happen though - theres a new head teacher and she doesnt know squat about the substitutes. So she's gonna stick with the people who work there year round while I get shafted. At least the old head teacher loved me and would even keep me in mind during spring break and stuff. She loved me....what can I say?
I know I know - I should have tried to get another job. But you know what? When I got home from school I was full on until the beginning of July. And now its too late to even bother looking for a job because I go back to school in 4 weeks. No one's going to take the time to higher me and train me for me to run off back to school - even though I could probably work in a chain there.
My mom keeps giving me the 'told you so' schpeel about not going back to the camp. But honestly, Im glad I didnt because the weather has been horrible. There have been days where its been 100 degrees out....and at that camp there is no air conditioning and their swimming area cannot hold 100 special needs kids at once. All they can do is sit in the even hotter lodges with the giant fans going and watch a movie on a rinky-dink tv. Im sure they might even had to have cancelled the camp because of it.
So..here I am...penniless and poor. At least this weekend will be nice. Both my parents and my sister have weddings to go to while Im home watching the dogs. I get the whole house to myself....all weekend....no sister....no parents...yea you know it. Vin's coming up on Friday night after work - probably will just rent some movies then. Saturday we will probably go see Clerks II (cant wait to see that) then come back here and have a nice homemade dinner - linguine with clam sauce. Get some candles going, buy some wine - merlot for him and something not red wine for me (im allergic to it apparently, I dont like it anyway).
Oh and next weekend it looks like I'll be in NY for a few days :) I shall give a holler and let ya all know whats going down. Love u guys!
