The whole day Junsu had felt uneasy. The uneasiness had started deep down his abdomen and had slowly spread to other parts of his body. It had all started when he had shot a quick glance out the car window and his eyes had taken up the dark sky. It was obvious that it was going to rain. However, that wasn't what had made Junsu so uneasy.

The other members hadn't noticed the sudden change in Junsu's behavior. Of course they hadn't, Junsu knew how to hide certain things from others. Especially when he was ashamed of these things. The boy put in his earphones, trying to distance himself from the possible scary sounds of outside. He listened to the whirlwind of instruments, mixing and blending with each other until they came together into one piece of perfection. Junsu exhaled the tension out of his body and closed his eyes, waiting for sleep to come get him.

Junsu woke up when he felt a gentle hand nudging his shoulder gently. He was alarmed, his bewildered eyes darting back and forth, trying to comprehend the situation. It was only when his eyes met Jaejoong's gentle ones that his tensed body could relax.
"Wake up, sleepyhead, we're home," the warm and familiar voice spoke to him while his hands pulled Junsu's sleepy body out of the car.

"The weather forecasts say that it's going to storm tonight," Yunho said, holding the remote control lazily in his hand, his head leaning on Jaejoong's shoulder. All five boys were in the living room, watching a bad action movie which honestly was more hilarious than angsty. And it was the kind of hilarious that wasn't good in way. The commercials were on now and Yunho had insisted on watching the weather forecasts. Jaejoong had his arm draped around Changmin who was sitting next to him, his hand plucking absentmindedly on some lost strands of hair.

"That was to be expected, I don't need a weather forecast to know that. Have you seen the sky today? I'm surprised it hasn't started storming yet," Yoochun said, yawning. His body was lying on the bench, his head resting in Junsu's lap. He didn't notice Junsu's body tense up when he spoke those words, his mind becoming slowly drowsy. He was exhausted from their busy schedule and this was one of the rare moments where all five members could relax.

Junsu's breath had hitched when he had heard his members speak the words he had feared the most. He had felt uneasy the whole day but when he had heard the confirmation of his fears, it was as if his anxiety exploded. His heart started to beat faster, pumping adrenaline mixed with fear through his veins, spreading through his whole body. There was no way he could escape this dreadful moment. Or more specifically, the dreadful moments after these.

Suddenly, he could feel himself suffocating. The heavy weight of fear was pressing on his chest, making it hard to think and breathe. The air around him was thick with fear, causing him to taste the emotion on his tongue with every breath he took. Calm down, calm down... Don't let them notice anything... Junsu thought, trying to clear his clouded mind. It was easier said than done. His eyes kept wandering and while the other members were laughing at how bad the movie was, Junsu couldn't concentrate at all.

"Hey, are you alright?" the worried low voice of Yoochun cut through the heavy mists of his consciousness. "You look very pale."
"I'm... just tired," Junsu smiled, waving away the worries of his friend. "I think I'd better go to bed now. I'm sorry for being such a party-pooper, guys." With those words, he stood up - not noticing how Yoochun protested when his head pillow disappeared - and went to his room.

He heard the sound of laughter coming from the living room. Junsu cursed his stupid phobia, his mind filled with sadness while he opened the door of the closet. This was how he'd always dealt with it. This was the only way how he could master his own fears.

He placed himself in the dark but safe closet, his body trembling with fear, small beads of sweat trickling down his spine. Just then, the closet lit up slightly when the lightning struck through the sky. Junsu shuddered, curling himself into a trembling ball before the sound of thunder followed, overwhelming the clattering sound of the pouring rain against the window. He was afraid that the sky would fall down. Junsu huddled himself up, his arms hugging his knees, trying to make himself as small as possible.

He knew that nothing bad was going to happen because he had experienced this many times before. He just wasn't able to get rid of the uneasy feeling. He just couldn't help but break out into cold sweat every time it would storm.

There was no specific reason for his phobia. As long as he could remember, Junsu's whole being would start to tremble whenever he heard the words 'thunder and lightning' and the fear would find its way to the core of his soul. As long as he could remember, he would hide away every time it was storming. Only Junho was aware of his fears as their parents had always been too busy with work. Junho, his twin brother who would always be there for him, soothing him, calming him and helping him through the fears.

However, Junho couldn't be there anymore for him after Junsu had started his life as a trainee. Junsu learned to cope with it because he didn't want to burden his brother. He had told his brother not to worry because he had manned up already. He had convinced his brother his astraphobia was something from his childhood and he had outgrown the fear.

Junsu sighed as he counted the distance between the lightning and the thunder in his head. If that only could be true.

"Damn, that movie was so funny!" Yoochun chuckled, wiping away the tears of laughter. "I want to watch it again!"
Yunho smiled, stretching his strained body, the sound of his joints cracking audible. "I do agree that it was funny but I think it's also the worst movie I've ever seen."

"Well, I would never want to see such a bad movie again. That was such a waste of time..." Changmin said, getting off the bench while suppressing a yawn.
"That's only because you'd rather waste your time watching porn," Jaejoong laughed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "I think it'd be better to sleep now, we have a busy schedule for tomorrow."

"Junsu? Can I borrow your-" Yoochun started, opening the door to Junsu's room. Since a few weeks, every member of DBSK had their own separate room and even though Yoochun liked the idea of more privacy, it also made him miss the coziness with other members. A little bit surprised, he looked at the empty room of his member.

"...Junsu?" Yoochun asked again, his eyes searching for any sign of life. What the hell? Hadn't that boy gone to his room an hour ago, saying he was tired? Had he gone to the toilet? Yoochun's eyes wandered to the untouched bed and concluded this couldn't be the case.

He grabbed his phone, dialing Junsu's number. Anxious, he waited for his phone call to be accepted. Where had this rascal gone to? Yoochun's eyes looked outside the window, his insides turning ice cold. What if he had gone outside? No, that couldn't be possible. Why would someone go outside when it was pouring and storming?

The sudden sound of Junsu's ringtone piercing through the room almost gave Yoochun a heart attack. He sighed, Junsu had left his phone in his room. Yoochun's heart started to beat faster in anxiety: what could have happened to the DBSK-member? There was something odd in this situation but he couldn't put his finger on it..

He looked around the room, his eyes searching for something off. Everything seemed normal and untouched. There was no sign of any possible struggle with thieves and there was no hint of anything else what would lead to the reason of Junsu's disappearance... Yoochun didn't know what could have happened. It wasn't something for Junsu to just take off without leaving a message, especially not with this kind of weather.

And then, suddenly, he realized what was off. The phone. It had been ringing... but the sound was coming from the closet... What?

Yoochun's heartbeat increased when he approached the closet. The last two minutes hadn't made any sense to him, causing his mind to be in chaos. He didn't know what he had to think of everything, scared that something bad had happened to Junsu.

Finally, he gathered enough strength to open the door of the closet. His gaze dropped to the ground where the sound of the phone was coming from. And what he saw then caused him to become unable to think, a wave of assurance flowing through him. Yet, something in him couldn't help but feel even more worried.

For a moment, he was frozen to the ground. He couldn't move a single limb while he watched the trembling figure lying on the ground. It worried him how Junsu was so unnaturally pale, it worried him how Junsu was sweating so much his plain shirt was drenched with sweat and it worried him how his eyes were closed, yet Yoochun could see the tears trailing down his cheeks.

Just then, another lightning flash lit up the room and he could see Junsu flinch, more tears streaming out of the corners of his eyes.

Yoochun dropped on his knees, his arms stretched out to wrap the trembling figure tightly in his arms. His right hand wiped away the tears while his left hand pulled Junsu's body even closer to his own. "What's wrong? Don't be afraid, shhh." he whispered, his low baritone voice humming reassuring words into Junsu's ear.

Junsu didn't answer, instead his hand grabbed the fabric of Yoochun's shirt and pulled him closer, inhaling the familiar scent of security. Yoochun decided not to push it and wrapped his strong arms even tighter around Junsu, his hands rubbing the cool skin of Junsu's arms.

After a while, Junsu realized he was not alone. He didn't know how long Yoochun had been there and he didn't know how long he was cradled by him like he was a baby but he did know that the weather had calmed down. Suddenly, he was ashamed by his own behavior. How could he embarrass himself like that?

He tried to pull away but instead, the strong arms pulled him tighter against Yoochun's body. Junsu felt his cheeks burn with embarrassment, his face so close to Yoochun's body that he could hear his strong heart beating steadily. "Don't you ever dare to scare me like that ever again..." he heard the low voice whispering into his ear. "Next time, I'll be there for you," Yoochun said and he pressed a soft kiss on Junsu's jawbone, kissing away the trails left behind by tears.

Kissing away the trails left behind by fears.
