WHAT THE HELL. WHAT THE MOTHERFU-SAMMY.

[Sam can be seen flailing out of his bed, quickly grabbing a robe and running out of the Slytherin dorms, occasionally running into things.]

This is freakin' ridiculous, why am I in Sasquatches body?!

ooc: Sam wished Dean would know what life was like in his shoes, so they switched bodies *desk* So this ( Read more... )

To the ones unaware of Sam's predicament, it would appear that Dean was quite panic-struck and wandering through the halls like a drunk. Of course, it was actually Sam.

When he rounded a corner and saw himself, his blood ran cold. It was like a rather unpleasant dream. Also, it confirmed his fear.

"Dean?" he tried, voice a little shaky. It was so unnerving to hear his brother's voice when he spoke.

"Sammy?!" Dean couldn't quite handle looking at his own body, it was emotionally disturbing. "What the hell happened?!" He grabbed his younger brother (or would it be himself?) and shook him lightly. "This is insane!"

Sam was silent for a moment, just staring at himself open-mouthed.

"I... I don't know." He pouted slightly, which looked quite bizarre on Dean's face. "This is too much. What is it about this school?" He glanced around.

"Maybe it was built somewhere unusual? Or the planets re-aligned or..." He trailed off with a sigh. "Damnit, I'm tired of being the logical one. I want my body back, Dean!"

"Well I didn't do it!" Dean protested. "I want my body back, too!"

He bit his lip and then said, "I can't believe I am saying this, let's go to the library, maybe we find something on it. Or we could ask a professor, though I would prefer not to."

Sam suppressed the urge to whine further.

He couldn't help but grin when Dean suggested the library. "Good idea," he said, already walking off, "come on, college boy."

"Bitch. You're the one doing the research--we have to do it in a hidden corner though. We can't sully my reputation," Dean said as he flipped his brother off.

"Jerk. And it might do your reputation some good," Sam retorted, smirking over his shoulder, "I think most people here only know about your downstairs brain. Anyway-" He pushed open the doors to the library, trying not to notice Dean's reflection in the glass.

"Learning can be fun, Dean. It's certainly helpful. Look at all the stuff we get from books. I'm sure Dad didn't do everything with his gut."

"How do you even live being this tall? It's disturbing," Dean muttered. "So? I get more ladies this way. Besides, they already think I'm an idiot since I am a 5th year and 17."

"Pshh, that's what I have you for. You're hear to do the research, I'm here to be awesome."

"Being tall happens to be an attractive attribute," Sam replied, frowning, "and if they think you're an idiot, it's because..." He shook his head. "Never mind, I'm not pulling at that thread."

He raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Well how about on the next break, I go visit Jess and you can be awesome by yourself?"

"I am normally tall! You're just freakishly large, Sammy. Admit it."

Dean stared blankly at his brother for a moment, then asked, "You would really let me go after a pack of vamps by myself, would you?"

Sam turned around and stared up at Dean curiously. It was a very strange thing to be the shorter one again, and he didn't really like it. He respected Dean, and he accepted the fact that he was the eldest and was in charge a lot of the time, but his height was one advantage. It made him feel a little stronger.

"Yes," he conceded, and laughed slightly, "I'm freakishly large."

Sam exhaled in an irritated way, and looked off to one side. "No," he admitted, and looked back, "but I cant fight them off with Great Expectations, can I?" He grinned.

"I'm glad you admitted it." It's so weird being taller than Sam again. He had just gotten used to Sam's growth spurt anyway.

"That is not your only weapon, grasshopper," Dean said. "You can also wield a mean dictionary. And laptop when you put your mind to it." He flopped down in a chair and spread his long legs out before himself. "Have faith in your abilities!"

Sam shook his head, smiling.

He raised his eyebrows at Dean. "How long before you starting talking about the Force, huh?" He wandered off to sift through the books.

At one point whilst reading, he caught a girl staring at him as if he'd grown a second head. He gave her a tentative smile, and she blinked and returned it before hurrying off. Sam smirked to himself. There goes his "reputation".

It took a while to even find a book that had what he was looking for. Most of them mentioned possession, multiple souls in one body, and the use of Polyjuice Potion. There was very little on actual bodyswapping and he narrowed it down to one book. However, it only had a solution based on a previous spell being performed. Perhaps someone else had cast it?

He kept his fingers inside the book to hold the place, then returned to Dean. "Not much luck, I'm afraid," he said, holding out the book to Dean, "though - providing this is the result of a normal spell - it has the reverse spell in here."

Dean not-so-subtly kicked Sam's chair. "Hey, act normal. You are already doing enough damage by reading in public," he teased.

Dean grabbed the book and skimmed over the counter-spell. "It'll take us a few days to be able to do this, we don't want to mess up. We should start practicing as soon as we can."

Sam frowned and returned the favour a little more forcefully than was necessary. "I'm doing you a favour," he teased back.

"Days," Sam repeated in a distracted tone, nodding. "Let's hope it works. We can get this stuff from the Potions stock." He sighed, feeling ill at ease at the prospect of the stealing and dishonesty.

"I don't know about that," Dean pointed out. "You're not hitting on women."

"Yeah, that should be easy. I'll just tell them I need it for my super-genius-Slytherin things I have to do, and voila! We got the shit." Dean pulled parchment and a quill out of his bag, muttering, "Dude, this is ridiculously organized. You need therapy?"

He copied down the needed ingredients and pointed at the spell. "After I get these, I'll work on this part, you brew the potion, yeah?"
