I guess I chose to write in my livejournal because I can't stop my face from tearing up. I can't wipe its tears off, because as soon as it dries, new ones appear. Maybe I chose to write in this journal, because my friends read this... I can't write in my myspace blog, because I don't know how to change the settings on it

I know you havnt heard from me in a while... but i had to step in on this post. First of all, i dont agree with everything Bush does, but i disagree when you say hes a bad president. You say we arent helping the people of new orleans... You need to look at it at the standpoint of we are doing everything we can. I say we because im a member of the US Coast Guard, im on standby to be sent down with the next set of guys for helo operations out of mobile... and i live in Michigan. That alone should tell you resources from around the country are being tapped into.

Those people were told they had to leave.. and the only ones that have an excuse to have stayed was the elderly, sick, homeless etc... and those people were all sent to the superdome. The rest shouldnt have even been there. i do believe we should be doing everything in our power to get them out however... and so far this morning, the coast guard alone has rescued 9500 people in the past 3 days. Thats INCREDIBLE. Th NYPD has more police officers than the entire USCG has active duty, yet we can still do this s well as keep the rest of the US coast safe. Please dont say nothing is being done.

As for the racial inuendo... thats the most retarded thing ive ever heard. Ive seen the guys on the news claiming racism for not having everyone out already.. thats some serious bullshit. We dont fly over people because they are black... we see people we pick them up. On top of that.. these people are SHOOTING at the rescue helocopters... fucking blame them for things going so slow.. not the government. If theres anything to be sick about... its people needing help, but shooting american helo's trying to save them.
