Rewind.
Let's face it. We have grown up spoiled. And we tend to take things for granted. Cars, shelter. Electricity.
AIR CONDITIONING
That is right. We take these things for granted. And we seem to not to know what to do when we are without it. How quickly we forget that a hundred years ago, things like air conditioning were luxury to most, and nearly no one had heard of such things. And yet here I sit, a week without air conditioning, knowing that it will be a week yet til it is fixed. And I am feeling sorry for myself.
After spending the week in the heat, I must admit this. I don't know how they did it. Lived in this heat year after year. I am sitting here pretty much stripped of all clothing and still I find little comfort. How did they do it? I can't even fathom.
But I will say this, I will not take it for granted again.
