Of course, Saturday was the big day. Our baby shower day. The weather was gorgeous, the food was wonderful, thanks to my mom and both sisters who worked pretty much around the clock in order for me to have the best shower ever. For the most part the guests were happy and had a great time. It was overall a great time. Seriously it was. Even Andy and his younger brother who swore he would not be into that sort of thing, got into the whole swing of things and enjoyed themselves. Much fun. Much fun. Hillary did an amazing job on setting things up, Burgandy on games.
The sucky part, bringing home everything and trying to figure where in the hell are you going to put everything. Mom and Dad had given us some money for the crib, so yesterday we figured we would head out and get it up. Yes I am anxious to get things started and set up. We go, and after an ordeal with BabiesRus, not having any of the sets we wanted. They had all been 'discontinued' four months ago. Before we had even registered. We all know discontinued meant it had been recalled. Anyways Aleisha broke down and just cried in the middle of the place and we eventually left. Doubting BabiesRUs will ever see another penny from us. Or at least they won't be for a very long time anyhow.
We ended up at Babies to Teen.
That place was a godsend.
But we found it, its gorgeous and stylish. We just have to wait for it to be ordered and delievered since they special order all their pieces. And not to worry, they have them. And they won't be discontinued any time soon. Especially not since they happen to be the most popular set in the store.
Now we just have to wait 5-8 weeks...for the dresser and the crib.
Which means the gifts will be in bags until then.
