(no subject)
remember as a child, you couldnt wait for the winter weather to come around. you prayed every night that it would snow. that classes would be canceled. you stood outside with your pajamas inside out, doing a snow dance. you did your homework. or didnt. and you just loved it. half the time you were disapointed because once again, you would wake up and the weather man had gotten things wrong. you dressed, you went to school wondering how the hell they could do this to you. and think, maybe tonight. or maybe next week when that big test was coming up or a huge paper. maybe then, yeah that would be a good time.
what happened to that.
as an adult, you just about dread it. because it means schedules will be messed up. the commute a pain in the ass. it means if you have children, and you dont have day care what are you going to do with those kids. and you just wish to be in school again. granted most places have a pretty fair policy when it comes to the forcast as the area. but still it all depends on ones boss.
still they are calling for nasty weather. and its not going to be bad. or so they say. but bad enough that it has the area on alert. and even though i know i cant just watch the television for notice that my job will close.
