Hey, yeah, it's been awhile. First, about the rest of my summer, it was freakin awesome! My good friend from Wooster, Andy, came to visit me in Germany. After roamin around some purdy sights there, we hopped on a train to Amsterdam. That place is nuts. We went to the Van Gogh and the Rijks museum which were both breathtaking, as well as the Heineken brewery which was also rather breathtaking. And the coffee shops were rather magical. After losing ourselves many times and finding our way back again, we then got on a train to Garmisch, a beautiful little recreational town in Germany. The mountains are high and misty, and the water is so clear you swear its been chlorinated. It was pretty but rained too much so we went along to Salzburg in Austria where the Sound Of Music was filmed. It was beautiful and amazing too, I have pictures if anyone cares to see them. But I definately can't complain about my summer, it was very free and travelled.
And then I come back to Wooster (excuse my little rant that will proceed this sentence, you may skip to the next paragraph if you wish) and my stress level goes through the damn roof! It all starts at Java the Hut. My card won't work. I go see Linda. She says go to the treasurers office. I go. They say I owe seven thousand some dollars to the school and shrug their shoulders. I panic. A cold sore pops up (a surefire way to tell when I am at the peak of my stress-e-ness) I finally get my email working. I have to go sign a loan. I figure this was the problem all along. Nope. Fafsa signatures were screwy. I still owe big bucks and I can't eat nor get in my dorm. So today is Thursday (actually Friday) and things are still screwy and things still don't work so I'm going to go raise a bit of hell tomorrow. So everything is being dealt with and is fine but I still have this damn cold sore and I feel like a beast.
Otherwise, my classes are incredible. I mean absolutely heavenly. And as of now I have a double single in Bissman unless they put some random person with me which I don't think will happen. As soon as I get my room switched around with some of my girls everyone is totally welcome, it will be a cushy pleasure palace. I missed all of my Wooster friends, this really is a great place, (but it would be even better if the college let me eat, ha ha kidding).
So what I noticed today, not to be racist or anything but most white girls really can't dance. I mean, it's hilarious. I'm glad everyone is shaking their groove things and all and I don't want anything to change but why is it that black girls really have the rhythm just absolutely imbedded in their body cells and can put them to work with little or no effort? It's crazy, and I probably am one of those silly lookin white girls out there on the dance floor but oh well, it's going to keep being that way.
I've had the Pink Floyd album Pulse constantly playing on repeat the entire week. It's beautiful and soothing and I just wish I could take a month out of my life and just learn everything I can about this beautiful band and their music. I wish I could take a month out of my life for lots of stuff like sumo wrestling, and making candles, and brewing beer. And I want to sit somewhere for four weeks and just watch light play on nature's surfaces. Um I'm done here. I'm in a weird mood.
