Title: Strangely Fascinating
Form: Poetry
Genre: slight angst/romance
Word Count: 103

Standing in the hot sun,
Orange fire...
Blazing light onto the truth--
The sick decay of which I've caused.
I blink against the dusty rays,
As my shaky fingers pull...
Releasing the gauze and letting it fall.
Strange flesh.
My flesh...
Viral.
You approach me,
Aggressive,
Intimidating.
You frighten me,
Your distaste for me evident.
Your bulk blocks out the sky,
As you tower over me...
Your sharp eyes piercing,
Cornering me.
I hold my thoughts in the dark,
Tucking them safely in the depths of oblivion.
I find you cold,
Ruthless...
And, strangely fascinating.
But, even I am afraid of those musings.
