Life has been go, go, go. I'm exhausted, but it's good exhausted, not a burnt out exhausted. Gosh, I can't even look at my myspace every day ;)
School has been a blessing. I go for eight and a half hours a day, three days a week and the drive is an hour each way. Classes en Dec. 13, after clinicals. I was nervous. Something like that, you can't be apathetic about. You love it or you hate it. And... I love it! The last two or three hours are usually the slowest and I start to feel like going home, but everyone is there because they want to be. I have been able to talk to almost everyone and they're all chatty and friendly. I can voice myself in class. The instructor is friendly and laid back. The workload is heavier because of the accelerated pace. It takes me quite a few hours to do the reading (but I also take a lot of notes). I got a 95 on my first test though. :)
The days in between are consumed by studying and whatever someone needs me for. I haven't had very much time to myself, but last night was great. When I came from from school, Chris took me to a sushi dinner and we saw the movie The Prestige. It was GREAT! I wish the ending had been a little different, but the plot and acting were amazing. Every time I thought I had figured the movie out, another twist was thrown at me. I had to think the entire time. This is what I try to explain to my brother- in a movie such as that, I enjoy the curve-balls thrown. I would never, ever see a Saw movie. I do not watch horror movies. I don't care if anyone considers what they find to be the better ones "smart." I don't watch those movies. I think they're awful.
Chris seems excited about what I study. He treats me a little different... it's hard to explain. He talks with me about what I learn. He's more... seriously affectionate, without all the joking and teasing, though he still jokes and teases. I like it. I guess now I won't have to be so in the dark when he starts discussing his job with a co-worker.
And I can get a great paying part-time job while I finish school ^_^
Also, Chris got the job in Lincolnton. The pay is not only better than Tallahassee, but a little better than what we were hoping for. I think that's given him a lot to be happy about too.
