Hi!

This week has been full of adjustments. I finally moved to my long-term apartment and my rommate has caused me some headache, but hopefully we will be able to find a common ground. I don’t feel like moving for the 6th time, I am so over it. The second week of studying is over today, which I am very happy about, since as fun as it all is, we get so many assigments, that I was so looking forward to the weekend when I can both relax a bit and yet dedicate a few hours to doing my homework. The whole system is so new to me and we are kind of bombarded with various exercises with very strict deadlines for each of them, but will get used to it…hopefully. The fashion week has officially started and I can’t wait till I can begin my valunteering next week. I have never attended a single show, nor have I ever provided any help at the backstage.

For the last 2 days I am doing my reading assigments in the parks, which helps me to kill 2 birds with one stone. I wanna take advantage of the city’s beauty and lovely sunny days before they are over. Tomorrow is going to be exciting. We were informed about a fashion symposium with Keanan Duffty (CFDA) and Nigel Barker (America’s Next Top Model) at Lincoln Center, where they are going to discuss their experience in the industry and share key takeaways  in the world of fashion. So excited to experience all these things for the first time!

Today I spent a lovely hour in the Central Park. As funny as it is, it was the first time I got to stay there for some decent amount of time (and not just 10-15 minutes of passing it by). I know, I look like a dork with my glasses on, but gotta wear them for a while, so…

Then we had the first class of Fashion branding and promotion. Looks like we got such a cool teacher, young, down-to-earth, easy and eager to make a joke or two and who managed to make everyone interested, no one even wanted to leave when she offered to let us go and leave the class 10 minutes earlier than due time.

When I finally got home, I found out that my rommate was not at home, which was such a nice surprise, given we are not really getting along that well so far.  I got to finish one of the assigments, and… tomorrow is the new day full of surprises and adventures! I feel so happy and blessed to experience all these things. <3
