Meet Fashion, My New Lover
Growing up I was pretty fond of clothes. I would make the craziest outfits out of thrift store finds. Rummage through my mom's closet and piece together amazing things. People would OOO and AHH and I would feel special. At some point in my early 20's I became uncomfortable with my body. I had always been a waif growing up, so when curves started to appear it confused me. I had issues buying clothes for my new body and at times felt embarrassed. I am sure many woman go through this confusion as they transition from girl to woman. Its confusing and sometimes discouraging.
I had promised myself in November 2009 that 2010 would be an adventure. So far on every level my life has been an adventure this year. Fashion has been a bold part of it. I wish I had taken photos of every outfit I have worn this year. Some of them were so amazing and no one but me saw them. I think soon I will start a fashion blog filled with my daily outfits, fashion wants, and inspirations. I finally know how to dress this body of mine and I want to show the world.
Fashion, drinking, good food, and, friends. That has been 2010 so far. I am looking forward to the rest. :)
What has 2010 brought you so far?
