(no subject)
So, not much new has happened since I last wrote...just working 40 hrs. a week. I'm the main cake decorator right now and they rely on me, which is good and bad. I say that because it's nice to be depended on that much at work; I'm like a non-supervisor supervising employee...I've been training new people, almost every question comes to me when my bosses aren't in, and they've been trying to train me on more and more so that I can be left responsible of the entire dept. once they go on vacations (both my mgr. and the assistant have BOTH of their vaca. weeks together so that means a whole week without direct management so they wanna get me to a level where I can order everything, input all the RE's and MPP and whatnot into the computer, and manage the customer concerns). The downside is it's hard for me to leave on time from work each day, I only get weekend days off if I absolutely NEED them, and I'm not getting paid any extra to do all the extra supervisor shit that I actually do. That's why I say "Non-supervisor supervisor". It's cool to have people rely and depend on me because I'm a great employee, but it's tough when I technically shouldn't have all that extra crap to deal with. Oh well...you can never quite get a grasp on a double-edged sword...
Other news: I'm a new Auntie!! Steven's brother and sister-in-law had their baby!! A beautiful little girl they named Rose Marie (she has my middle name, heehee). She was 6 lb. 13 oz. at birth...and I don't know the length but she's got LONG little legs and long little fingers too. She'll be tall when she grows up. I'm such the proud Aunt who can't wait to spoil her rotten. When I get a chance I will scan and upload a pic or two of her so I can show her off!!! She has a perfect head, not alien shaped like most babies, and she's got a bit of hair, strawberry blonde color, and not too much, just enough to make her an adorable little thing.
