2009 Resolutions
2008 was a pretty shitty year overall. Mainly due to financial crap. 2009 is gonna be different. I guarantee it!
I've never really made a real New Years Resolution so i figure this year I will. Actually, I've made a few resolutions just because I feel I need to. This will be my last year that I can pass for a youngin'. I'll be 30 at the end of November. WOW! I'm gonna make this year worth it.
1. Get in shape. I know it's standard but I really gotta do it.
2. Put more focus on getting out of debt and preparing for being a real grown up man. Haha.
3. Spend more time with old friends. Jared/Tamra, Damion/Jen, Steve "Dash B Con F", etc.
4. Get the hell out of my comfort zone. This one's the most important. I've fallen into a rut of being too routine and not adventurous or outgoing. That's all ending here.
I've started #4 off already and it's worked out alright. First off, I went in and paid rent. There's this girlie who works the receptionist desk in our property management office who I've always had a major crush on but couldn't figure out how to get her number considering I'm only there for 5 seconds once a month. I make her write out a receipt even though I don't need one just so I can kick it there for a little longer :) This time I said, "It's 2009. Fuck it. I'm getting that number." I went in, asked her about her New Years, kept a little small talk going and then told her we should hang out and bam! got dem digits! Unfortunately after a few texts back and forth I find out she's engaged. She said I caught her off guard so she didn't know what to do. It's legit though. She is engaged. Oh well. The important thing is that I manned up and got them digits initially. I also went to that Euro Car Meet yesterday that I posted about all alone without knowing anyone. It turned out way good. I met some good people and will definately be going to more meets and canyon drives with other sweet Audis.
