Sewing 2011

Jan 04, 2011 16:34

Everyone else is posting sewing plans, so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon here.

In 2010, I made:
-1770s gold taffeta polonaise
-1770s blue taffeta waistcoat (for Andy)
-1770s blue taffeta breeches (for Andy)
-1740s ginger linen waistcoat (for Andy)
-1690s linen mantua
-1850s green checked work dress
-1850s/60s wool/silk chemise for cold Bedford event
-1850s/60s wool drawers for cold Bedford event
-1610s female wool doublet bodice
-1806-9 cotton print working gown/day gown
-17th/18th C ginger linen apron from the waistcoat scraps, and like 4 pot scrubbies
-1690s linen coif
-1850s dark brown wool frock coat (for Andy and the FCM filming)
-1850s white silk wedding vest (for Andy and the FCM filming)
-1770s/8os cotton/hemp blend shift
-1690s shift
-1870s grand bustle from Truly Victorian
-Started a cotton print bustle gown, but never finished it.
-Started blue wool breeches for Andy, but haven't finished them.

Whew! Okay, now, for 2011, my sewing goals, in order of time period, but not sewing order...
-1610s linen jacket
-1690s linen coif (another one)
-1840s cotton print work dress
-1850s light blue cotton day dress
-1860s dark brown wool jacket
-1860s dark brown wool paletot (I have a LOT of this fabric!)
-1870s cotton print bustle gown (finish)
-1870s cheap red/blue shot silk bustle gown (before I cut out the finer quality stuff!)
-1870s maroon taffeta bustle gown (for me, for Jamie's wedding)
-1870s bustle gown (for another bridesmaid, for Jamie's wedding)
-1870s bustle gown (for another bridesmaid, for Jamie's wedding)
-1870s bustle gown (for another bridesmaid, for Jamie's wedding)
-1870s traveling bustle gown (for Jamie, for European honeymoon)
-1870s wool challis wrapper (for myself, for oldey timey lounging the wedding weekend)

We'll see how crazy I go after doing all the bustle gowns for Jamie's wedding, which is the first weekend in May. And since this is the year of using up some stock fabric, I'm going to add:
-something out of that ugly yellow wool plaid
-1740s wool mantua
-1740s wool jacket
-1850s or 1860s chocolate pin striped wool gown
-1770s plum brown silk satin en forreau (reproducing an original gown)
-17th/18th C brown medium weight linen petticoat
-MAYBE 1870s tan and chocolate cheap silk two-tone gown, if I need another one before I work with the good fabrics.

That's a lot. And it'll be a sewing blitz til May. Whew.

I should really take pictures of all the stuff I made...
