Of disasters - both man made and natural

I will discuss more of the subject matter of the previous post in the future.

Going back to the idea of interviews, I am not looking to pursue this claim on the basis that the company does not have a lot of money but I think it is something worth mentioning. I was interviewing for a position with a very small, poorly run firm which is a federal contractor. I did not really want the job because the money was not there [by a long stretch] and I could tell the company had no money in general. Anyways, I interviewed with the owner, a former lawyer. I have never seen a lawyer start a federal contracting and/or consulting firm and I have seen very few former - lawyers - gone - entrepreneur before so I always question it. Anyways, this man started his career by prosecuting Medicare fraud cases. He formed the consultancy to perform services in regards to claim fraud throughout the federal government. We were doing the interview and he randomly pops out with “So…how old are you?” My initial thought would be “And…THAT can be a charge…” followed by “This is a lawyer committing an obvious EEO violation.”

Another note - we recently had Hurricane Irene come through. It was not particularly bad - just a lot of branches down. We ended up having power out for ten hours or so during the night. We also had somewhat of a substantial earthquake here. I was in the shower and Mom was on the toilet in another bathroom. Yea, what a way to experience it! I have been through earthquakes before so I do not really panic or anything.
