It's been almost a week. The kittens are settled right in, and are little adorable terrors. They've trashed the place (literally, as is the case today, as they got into the garbage and spread it around)

They have good healthy appetites (which I was worried about, since we found out that they were just 8 weeks and 1 day old when we got them) They get a really good nutritional kitten food with no corn or disgusting crap in it, lots of kitten milk, and delicious canned food which they adore.

They are very playful. They find non-toy things to play with, sometimes to our dismay, but at least they can entertain themselves when we aren't there to play with them. They especially like a stick toy we have that was once Ollie's (it has a ball on a stretchy safety cord)

They sleep well, too. Lots of naps. After all, being a kitten is exhausting work. Eating, playing, mischief...

Momo is living up to her name. Sometimes she's a real peach, an sometimes she loses her ever loving mind (I actually named her for Hinamori Momo) She has warmed up to me, and while I'm running low on sleep from her constant mews of neediness during the night, we are now, I think, best pals.

Nami is two ways about me. When her "daddy" is around, she couldn't give a green fig about me, but when daddy is at work, or busy, she comes to me. At night, since daddy's snores frighten her, she comes to worm her way under my covers and scratch and bight my ass (the wee nuisance) and cry if I put her down or stop petting her.

We tell her that she'll be a big wave one day, but right now she's just a little one.

Though...with the rapid way she's grown in just under a week, that could be sooner than later (she may be taking after her father, who was at least part maine coon, and Momo is just as tiny and dainty as the day she came to live with us)
