Music IS The Voice of the Soul

This is a journal entry copied from my DeviantART account which can be found here.

Let me know what you think!! Stay shiny everyone!

--------------------------------------------------------

There's a saying that music is the voice of the heart and the soul. I've found over my 18 years that this is all kinds of true. Every time I hear a song I can picture something in my head. Whether it be me as the subject of the song or just what I think a music video for it might be. I listen to the music that fits my mood. Mostly I listen to country, but sometimes I'll listen to other things. If I'm in an active mood I'll listen to a mix of soundtrack songs. If I'm feelin kind of depressed, I'll listen to some Evanescence mixed with a few sadder country songs. If I'm content or relaxing I'll listen to instrumentals from people like Joshua Bell or other lighter music that I've been introduced to such as the Celtic Women music as introduced to me by the ever sweet
. Most times I'll listen to music when I'm on the computer- writing, working on fanart- whatever it may be. Today I found myself listening to my iPod on the way to church, as usual and I was only in the mood to hear certain songs. I would seriously skip over a hundred songs before I found one I felt like hearing. It was then I started thinking about what the soundtrack of my life would be. Now honestly there would be too many songs to mention of course- but I figured I'd list a few. That way if people were interested, they could check them out. It's kind of my way of spreading my own music to you fine people. If you don't like this- well then forgive my rant.

I'd like to see some of the songs on my lovely friend's 'life soundtracks'. Share with me!!

To all the Browncoats, stay shiny. And to all of my friends, luv and hugs.

Let me know what songs you like or grow to like and post your own life soundtrack in your journal and comment me somewhere to let me know so I can check out your music! Luv and hugs y'all! Stay shiny!

*Here are a few choice lyrics that have been in my head forever. Yes one of the songs isn't listed- but that's not the point. Stay shiny!*

-------------------------------------------------
"I pray for it to go, God knows I want it to stay. But here I am loving you either way. Somewhere down along the line I guess that love became a crime. This contradiction makes no sense, this is punishment. I feel like this is judgment day I'll raise my hands stand up and say: 'I don't believe I'm innocent!' This is punishment." ~ Punishment - SheDaisy
-------------------------------------------------
"No matter how much your heart is aching. There is beauty in the breaking. When you're broken in a million little pieces and you're trying but you can't hold on anymore. Every tear falls down for a reason. Don't you stop believing in yourself. When you're broken." ~ Broken - Lindsey Haun
-------------------------------------------------
"My racing heart is just the same; why make it strong to break it once again?" ~ Leave Right Now - Will Young
