Can't Wait For Spring!

Mar 05, 2010 22:00

It's been awhile since I last blogged so I thought I should start a new post for the month of March. I was looking at my profile page the other day and noticed the number of journal entries I have since I started this blog and it adds up to a total of 549. That isn't a lot considering I had this blog for about 4 years now. That's an anverage of 0.38 posts per day in a year and 11 entries per month? I still want to blog more but if only I have the time.

Anyway, nothing much has happened in the past couple of weeks except that school is officially over for me (classes, that is) and I'm off to do my 2nd placement for this term and then I'll be on summer holidays by the end of April. I'm actually really looking forward to my next placement! I'll be working with kindergartens and the most awesome part is the school I'm working at is in KOREAN TOWN! OMG. I can shop at korean town after I'm done working everyday, haha.
Oh, and the fact that my teacher's also Chinese makes me kind of excited too! LOL.

But I actually haven't met the teacher who I'm working with yet. I went to the school again today because I missed her the last time I went on Monday. However, she wasn't there today either because it is a P.A. Day for kids at public schools today so there was no school.
So now I don't even know when I'm suppose to show up on my first day there. I guess I will just show up a bit before 9am since that's when they actually start school.

I knitted this white scarf with pompoms over the x'mas holidays but I actually never got around to blogging about it!

I'm actually very proud of the outcome and myself. Although I've actually never worn it out once yet because I was afraid of getting it dirtied and also because it never really quite fit with what I was wearing for the day when I wanted to wear it out. Next winter, I will definitely put it in good use!
I want to knit MORE scarfs with PATTERN! My mom actually asked me to go look for a knitting book with patterns but I don't know where to find them. =(

I was suppose to work today but when I went into work, my manager made a mistake of NOT scheduling me in when I called in work on Tuesday to change my work schedule. So then, she actually sent me home but with 3 hours of pay because it was her mistake. =D I didn't want to go home straight away after being sent home, so I took a visit to the mall just to see what's new in stores WITHOUT having any intention to shop/buy anything...I was merely just LOOKING!! But I totally failed when I saw these~ XD

MINNIE MOUSE STRIPE TANKTOPS FROM H&M! Yes, I bought them in 2 different colours because they were just TOO CUTE to resist not buying.
I was actually thinking of waiting and get these when I get paid next week, but I was afraid that if I don't grab them now, they will be OFF the rack when I come back for them next week. So I quickly grabbed these and paid with my visa card because I was like, my next visa bill won't be coming in another month or so, I'll have money to pay it off then, LOL. Can't wait to wear these in the summer!♥

Then I went into garage clothing because I haven't been there for probably more than 4 months now and got this really nice long plaid shirt on sale from $36 to $26! =D (I bought this on debit, lol)

I love that it comes with a belt! It also reminds me of this outfit I saw in Pinky last summer/spring that I really liked and been wanting to find a similar top to it.

I also saw these really nice summer pieces that I wanted to get in garage while I was looking around too. BUT I WILL WAIT TO GET THOSE! One thing I love shopping in garage clothing is NOBODY buys their stuff at regular price, so often they end up putting a lot of their stuff on sale and they usually have LOTS in stock. I almost never buy anything in garage now when it's newly in and just wait for the sales!! =)

These are my FIRST purchase bought in store since December '09! No kidding. I almost bought my whole winter attire online from YESYSTLE.COM.  I almost forgot how nice it is to actually shop in store and try things on in person, lol! Anyhow, I don't think I will be spending too much money on buying new clothes for spring though, because if you live in Canada, you'd know that spring doesn't really exist here! It'll go pass by within a week or so. Why waste the money on spring clothes then? I'm going to save so I can buy more stuff for the SUMMER! And I actually still have a lot of unworn newly-never-worn pieces in my closet that is great for spring. Part of my new year's resolution is to buy more clothing this year, but I also want to wear more of what's in my closet that I've never had the chance to wear before. A lot of times, I end up buying a whole bunch of clothes that I've never even worn out once because I usually don't have things that match with them. But this year, I actually want to make good use of EVERY piece of clothing that I buy/own to make sure I don't leave them in my closet collecting dust!

This post is rather getting lengthy now. To end this, I changed my desptop wallpaper yesterday. It looks so pretty and refreshing every time I turn on my computer. I can't wait until spring!
