LATE BIRTHDAY PRESENTS AND GLASS FISH.
I really need to blog more. I am like barely even on my own blog. Anyway, this past week I have been busy trying to figure out how to customize my own journal, such as adding my own icons to the theme, changing the layout template and etc, but I just fail at understanding how LJ works with this html coding. I have used html codes in the past when I use to design my own webpage years ago in high school, but LJ is just driving me insane with their complicated codes.
Though I've been playing around with the codes and trying to remember things about what I learned but the outcome is still not quite how I want it to be. Ughhhh. SO FRUSTRATED!
Anyway, I'm also thinking of maybe opening more public posts on my own journal now because I want to interact with people who share the same interests as me more. I realized locking up my journal isn't getting me any visitors as I'd like to talk about things I'd like to discuss with people. XD So now, I'm planning to do more public posts but I will still be locking up very private posts to FRIENDS ONLY when I feel that my privacy may be invaded. Also, I think I will be changing the style of how I blog too. So in the near future, there will be some changes in the style and the way I blog.
I had a pretty interesting week this week so there are lots of pictures to follow in the post.
On Monday we received this notice sticked on our front door that there was going to be no water in our area from 8am - 5pm on June 16th because they're fixing the hydro. So having received that notice, we stored up water in use for cooking, flushing the toilet, washing our hands, cleaning and etc only to find out that they were DONE doing whatever they had to before noon and the water was running fine in our area. So I ended up having two buckets of water stored in my bathroom for no reason!!
We did, however, end up using the other water we stored up for cooking lunch. And gosh, those hydro people were here since 6am in the morning and for some reason, I couldn't really sleep well that night so I didn't even end up sleeping until 10am when they came to fix it. I ended up sleeping for only 2 hours that day because I had to get up and eat lunch.
Moving on. Remember I blogged about having goldfish a year or two ago? Well, apparently none of the fish lasted long because they keep dying and my mom kept buying new fish like every 2 weeks or so. I never would've thought it is so hard to keep goldfish alive, haha. Or maybe it was just because we weren't feeding it right or something? =/ Anyway after some time my mom finally gave up on buying more goldfish when they all died. But on wednesday, my mom bought the most awesome fish ever that will gurantee to live for long because they're made of out GLASS!! HAHA. XD
They hang on bubbles that float on the top of the fish tank, so cool~
Bubbles. They look so cute that I want to poke and pop them every time I look at them, haha. XD;
Last Sunday a friend of mine dropped by my house to give me my late birthday present.
Really nice blue gift bag. I was thinking what could be inside this bag before opening it and found out that it was not only just one thing inside the bag but MANY other things.
She got the love spell body and hand cream. It smells SO NICE.
I apply it after I shower and it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth~ She also got me this H2O body scrub. I haven't tried it out yet but I'm going to try it this weekend. The scent smells really nice though~
And she got me some revlon makeup. Mascara, shiny lip gloss, and lip stick. The lip gloss looks red in the picture but it's actually a rosey pink~
My free gift from aerie this month, a sticky notebook and a lip gloss for my free birthday gift. I was slightly disappointed with my free birthday gift since I already have this lip gloss from aerie. I was expecting something bigger like a free bra or something, or even a free shirt! But then again, they'd lose a lot of store profit if all their customer's birthday was in a particular month, haha.
Oh, and something really hilarious happened when I was in the washroom washing my face the other day, when my brother was talking to me outside. So apparently he stepped on something that was outside of my room and was asking me what did I drop in front of my room. So I came out of the washroom after I was done washing my face and he points to this "thing" he stepped on on the floor. So I look closely at the thing on the floor and I was like, umm, dude, I think you just stepped on a centipede because clearly, that looks like a squashed up centipede to me. Look, I can see its legs and um, I think those are its blood next to it? XD; At this point, my brother is extremely grossed out and he runs to the washroom to wash his feet. HAHAHAHA.
That's all for tonight. I need to catch up on some sleep. I haven't been sleeping well this whole week so I am extremely tired~
