" Lost In Translation " by Ella Frances Sanders is a charming little book showcasing a selection of words from various languages around the world that have no real equivalent in the English language. At a little under 60 pages it's a quick read but a satisfying one and a book that ought to grace every coffee table and nightstand. Bright and dreamy illustrations on every page accompany thoughtful musings not only about the words themselves but the intimate workings of human communication and connection. The author clearly devoted a lot of time and energy into researching and her artistic interpretations are a beautiful compliment to each word. A lovely gift for linguaphiles, writers and any one who enjoys the creativity of art, language and words and a great conversation starter.
