Excellent! I'm glad you tried it. The result looks good.
I don't know if you got the stitching right or wrong, and I don't really care because the result looks good. That's one way to do it, (there are several) but that's not quite how I did it
( ... )
The stitching is a technique called coptic stitching which looks beautiful (when done right) and well worth showing off. It's a binding technique I found quite by accident browsing Youtube
(for the record a curved needle is way handy) It's also extra nice for making little mini sketchbooks because it lies flat. I also recommend Old World stack scrapbook paper for the covering it is SO nice and has a great texture
The book is beautiful! you are so talented! You draw, you write, you craft... is there anything you don't do? (and would it be rude of me to beg that I get a book as a belated christmas, birthday, new years, just because present? I would use it as a journal. I adore journals!)
Oh my goodness you are sweet! :D I will indeed send you a journal. I think I took on more requests than would be realistic to complete by the holidays (I ended up agreeing to make them for both sides of my family as holiday gifts) but I will just continue working and get it to folks as soon as I can. (I just ask for patience on my end of things :3)
