"But it was us, baby, we were the lucky ones..."
I enjoy the fact that I finished watching RENT as the day actually changed into Thanksgiving. It is the most touching film to see on such a special day. The musical meant the world to me when I saw it the first time for it began my love affair with the stage. I felt that the movie could never live up to the expectations of the musical. I was mistaken. The original cast was a huge help. I think it was incredible. Some critical folk may disagree with me and that's fine. I'm prepared to defend my lovely opinion. :)
RENT has again touched me in a way I never thought possible. I just sat there in disbelief of how much I take everything for granted. EVERYTHING. My friendships especially. I may not have that perfect tight-knit group, like the RENT crew, but I've got some phenomenal people in my life. And I hope you all know that.
I thought I would make this a really long, in depth narrative about how much I love each and every one of you. Then I knew that that just wasn't me. I wanted to keep this short and sweet and to the point. You guys are all amazing individuals! AMAZING! No matter where I go, what I see and what I do, I will always remember you. That may sound cliche...but I swear it on my love for performing that I will remember you and cherish you all. <3
I am thankful.
