The A-Kon experience...
A-Kon 17 was amazing, but SO tiring. My legs are hurting. XD I had a lot of fun! I spent so much in the dealer's room, though. HAHA. It sucks you in, I tell you. The merchandise is so tantalizing. *dead* Let's start with Friday...
Friday: June 9, 2006 (Happy birthday, Itachi!)
We leave the house around 5-something in the morning and arrive in Dallas around.. 10-11? I'm not quite sure.. I don't remember. As soon as we we got there, my brothers and I went to register and stuff (our junk was taken by my parents and grandma to the hotel room). It wasn't all that long of a wait, amazingly. The cosplayers kept us amused, though. Especially these KH2 cosplayers. XD;; Lots of Clouds were walking around there, too.
After that, we went back to the hotel room to get our camera (it's totally necessary). We decided to go straight to the dealer's room to see what was available. Oh my, did we spend a lot of time in there this weekend (and geez, did we spend a lot). I was looking around for some doujinshi sellers at the time. I found a few, but all of them were just selling yaoi or hentai doujin. *sigh* I did end up finding this one place (that was awesome, btw; they had the Tsukihime game "Melty Blood" up for play at their booth) that sold some normal doujinshi. Too bad I couldn't find any SasuSaku doujin.. no one seemed to have them. D:
Hmm.. after that, we checked out some of the rooms and what not. But we were just wasting time until opening ceremonies at 7:00pm that day. They presented some plaques and stuff for people that have stuck with them for a loooong time (like.. all 17 years or like, 10 years). After that, Kristine Sa opened up for KOTOKO. She was really pretty! And due to some sort of contest, this one Asian guy won a date with her (and he was really nice, too). XD Haha! It was great. I'm really sad I didn't get a chance to stop by and get her CD.
Now.. when KOTOKO finally appeared, I was SO happy! She did a lot of the stuff she did for her live concert in Japan a while back. She started with Suppuration -core- and wore the white wig and everything. @w@ Mmm.. I was ecstatic to see her there. She's so cute, too! During the show, she said it was the last song and realized that it was a mistake. She tried her hardest to speak English, too, haha. She had her "cheat sheet" with her, though, as she liked to call it. XD
It was fun, but I totally had my ear drums ringing after the show.. I'm still having some fuzzy hearing out of my right ear because I was all the way in the front row right next to the stupid speaker. @.@;; I'm so happy I had front row seats, though! Yay~ ♥ After the show, she was signing autographs, so we ran to the table because we knew it would be full soon. GAHH. But, we're lucky and we got them eventually. I got to talk to KOTOKO! It was greaaat. I even spoke with the band members, too. It was cool. :3 After that, we were so tired, so we went back to our room and totally crashed when we got there, haha.
Oh yeah, and sorry to all of those that wanted pictures! The people told us that out of courtesy to all of the musical artists we weren't allowed to take pictures or record.
Saturday: June 10, 2006
When we woke up, we got ready and left to the dealer's room again. We bought more stuff and bleh blehhh. Later that day, we went to KOTOKO's Q & A session in one of the panel rooms. It was fun and they encouraged us to ask in English and stuff like that. It was interesting because one person asked if she was married (I was curious, honestly). XD Unfortunately, afterward we were supposed to be able to take pictures, but we were running short on time and they had to cancel that. :x
We watched "Piano Squall", too. He is so amazing and talented. He played lots of different anime and videogame music on the piano (which were his own arrangements). Ahh, it was wonderful. @w@~
We walked around a lot yesterday. I can't really remember WHAT we did, haha. I have lots of pictures to share, though. :]

Today, we left Dallas and here I am back at home. :D I had lots of fun at A-Kon. I can't wait to get another opportunity to go to a convention.

My badge, it reads "Chii" on the front. And then.. the back of it was signed from the people from FMA. One is the voice of Havoc, the other is Vic, the voice of Ed. He was really nice (and funny). XD He was like, "Hi! What's your name?" and stuff.
