100903-100905 SM TOWN LIVE IN LA '10 - HOTEL FANACCOUNT
I'm finally back from my trip to Los Angeles, but first here's my fanaccount of my hotel sightings while I was staying at the Sheraton, the hotel where the artists were staying. 8D I feel very fortunate that things worked out that way! Anyway, I apologize for the length, but a lot happened while we were there, haha. Cameras weren't allowed in the hotel to take photos so I didn't take photos of the artists while I was in there, sadly.
100903 - Friday
I went with my friend Cyndi to the concert, so this fan account is about our experience at the hotel. 8D As soon as we landed and found our hotel (the Sheraton), there was already a large crowd forming at the front entrance. And being the excited/curious fangirls we were, we just got dropped off there while my parents checked us in. We figured an artist must either be on their way to the hotel or they were leaving, so we hung around the area for a while. And the wait was worth it because Siwon from Super Junior came out of the hotel and entered the car that was parked at the front! *O* And as much as I wanted to get a clear picture, he walked too fast and all I got was a blurry mass of.. stuff, where you can kind of make out where his hand was as he waved to the fans. While they drove off (I'm pretty sure he was the one driving?), he waved again. *A* Little did I know that we'd be running into him a lot more often than I thought we would over the course of the weekend, haha.
After that we went inside to go and check out our hotel room. When we left the elevator to go down the stairs to the lobby, we saw Sulli and Luna of f(x) just going up the escalator right next to us on the stairs! We didn't really want to take out cameras to take pics because we thought it would be kind of rude to just start flashing cameras in front of their face. So we just saw them leave and then spazzed about it later. xD They really very pretty in person! Especially Sulli; they're really cute! It was such a natural meeting, though- I feel as if the unexpected run-ins with the celebs was a lot more enjoyable~
When we reached the bottom of the stairs to the lobby, we just hung out with the other fans and made friends there for the entire weekend. :) It seems as if camping out in front of the escalators was a pretty decent place to hang out while trying to spot the artists. We also learned that seeking out staff members/people with walkie talkies was the best way to find out when an artist might be getting ready to show up. THE CUES. WE SEE THEM. 8D A little later we saw Zhang Li Yin going up the escalator, and even later than that, Victoria of f(x). She was so nice, very gorgeous, too! She was really sweet and greeted/waved back at the fans when we told her "hi" as she walked past us. ♥
We didn't really spot that many other artists until later that night since it seemed like they went out to go shopping or whatever else they may have been doing. The first ones we saw to come back were Yunho and Changmin, which pretty much made me shake and cry forever. ;A; Those two are absolutely gorgeous in person. So tall and nkalgjkla AHHH- everyone just seemed to be waiting to catch a glimpse of those two! A little later we were thinking of returning to our room because we were pretty exhausted from the plane rides to get to LA, but when Zhoumi and Henry suddenly popped up we couldn't bring ourselves to go back! ;w; I mean, knowing that others would probably be soon to follow, we just dealt with it and stayed for a bit longer.
The craziest part was seeing all of the fans running up and down the stairs when screams could be heard from outside at the front entrance. It was basically our (everyone in the lobby's) cue that someone was coming, haha. When Zhoumi and Henry came back, we managed to reach the top of the staircase first, so we got a VERY clear view of the two. But we thought Zhoumi would take the escalator- turns out the way down was blocked so he opted to take the stairs. So he was pretty much walking STRAIGHT TOWARD US. TAT He is so tall up-close, omg. So when he got to us, we stepped aside and let them through. Henry is so cute, though! He was saying "hi" to all of the fans when we greeted him and my friend, Jen, even managed to get a high-five from him! :'D
Siwon came back a bit later, but went straight to the elevators. We heard that he looked really cute when trying to get into the elevator because they were full or something? I'm not sure what was happening since the crowd was so large, but his scurrying back and forth from one side to the other was cute. xD Some others that we spotted were Victoria on her way back that night and Taeyeon some time during the day, but they were really brief and short glimpses.
100905 - Saturday
It was the morning of the concert! I think I'll make the actual concert fan account separate since it'll be lengthy. By the time we woke up and had some breakfast at the Starbucks inside the hotel lobby, we heard that Siwon had left for a morning jog (while we were busy eating, omg). A bit later, we saw Yoona and Yuri, although they were trying their absolute hardest to stay incognito and not be recognized or noticed. It didn't quite work out, especially after they started running to try and leave faster, haha. Poor things. ^^; They were only in hoodies and (short) shorts, LOL. We saw Kyuhyun walking with some staff sometime later; I think they went into the Brasserie Cafe for some breakfast. We saw him twice, once when going and then once again on his way back to the elevator. SO CUTE I SWEAR. He is beautiful in person. T___T Adorable! I was really hoping that I could hear him talk because that voice of his ghklabgka. I would have melted.
Later that morning, as we were camped out with some of our new friends in front of the escalators, Siwon was walking around again and it looked like he had finished his morning jog seeing as he was dressed in some jeans and even a fedora (so stylin', omg). He looked a bit shy with all of the fans around, but seriously, his smile is lovely! ;A; He passed by twice since I think he might have just checked something at the front desk and then went back to the elevator. We said "hi" as he passed and he greeted the fans back- very nice man, haha.
It seemed like he/the other artists weren't allowed to accept gifts from the fans. He looked genuinely apologetic that he couldn't take them when fans wanted to give them, though. :( Also, apparently after Siwon left, he was spotted eating breakfast at the IHOP down the street from the hotel. A friend of a girl we were hanging out with even managed to give her gift to him! Also, while we were in our room getting some things, the TRAX apparently came to check in at the hotel. We missed it, but our friends got some photos. So pretty from what we saw. *A*
After that, nothing much happened. We saw a lot of staff walking around and leaving, so we assumed that they were going to get ready for rehearsal before the concert, but none of the artists were spotted. We guessed they had left directly from the garage or something like that- so then we left to do other things until the concert~
100905 - Sunday
Right before we were going to leave for the garage after checking out of the hotel, we were walking through the Sheraton mall plaza and Cyndi pointed out that Sooyoung of SNSD was standing RIGHT behind us at the GNC. After finally giving myself some time to try and confirm that it was really her, we saw Seohyun walk out of the store to join her and then I was like, "OMG IT REALLY IS." Those two are really gorgeous! So tall and slim. Very stylish with their shades, too. <3 A bit later, Tiffany walked up and was talking in English with another staff member, I think? They stood there right next to us for a pretty good while~
The one staff guy with a walkie talkie was standing there and was looking at my parents, Cyndi, and I a little warily since he thought we would take photos/try and get close to the girls. But since we were with our parents, he didn't suspect us too much, haha. My dad managed to get a photo of them before they left to go up the escalator. At that point, more fans were beginning to notice that they were there, so they started following them and a crowd formed in front of the Express on the second floor. We left after that and they were the last celebs we saw before we left LA for good. ;w;
I was sad that I wasn't able to see Hyukjae walking around the hotel and Cyndi didn't get to see Leeteuk, but we're thankful to have been able to see who we did. We definitely saw a lot more aritsts than we ever thought we would, so we can't really complain. ^^ I'll do a fanaccount of the concert some other time, since I still need to sort out my thoughts about it. It was full of emotion and a rush of so many emotions after being able to see Hyukjae, a person that I had been longing to see in person after such a long time.
