Happy April Fools?
I finally got a laptop like, two days ago. It's pretty cool, I guess. It's widescreen (1280x800) and used to have Vista, but I didn't like it because it was so frikkin' slow- and I planned to reformat it anyway, so yeah. Now it's all cleaned out, running on XP. EXCEPT, there are a few problems. Since this is a used laptop, I dunno. The CD/DVD drive suddenly decided to go whack on me, same with the way this laptop is reading my external hard drive. Every now and then it'll read either one properly, but most of the time it's just.. ugh.
So, some details on that. If someone could help me out (at all!) it'd be so awesome. ♥ My external hard drive works perfectly fine on my brother's laptop, but when I try to use it on this laptop it recognizes that it's plugged into the USB port, but the files don't load and I can't really use it. As for the CD/DVD drive, today it just suddenly stopped reading disks. It was fixed for a little while, but then it stopped reading the disk for who knows what reason. Hrmm. I feel like I have no luck in getting a decent computer. But I guess this is good enough. I just wish I had my files. :|
Everything else has been pretty awesome, though! School's been as busy as ever. And in my English class we started reading Death of a Salesman. I don't know if I find the plot interesting, but since we have people in class acting it out it makes it much more entertaining to follow along with. xD I still need to read the third section of The Sound and the Fury, though. omg, I'm not looking forward to annotating each page for a grade fhdjskbsabra. That isn't due until like, two weeks from now, but STILL. Long term assignments = eww.
I need to go and find more stuff to fill this laptop with now. xD; Like.. music or pictures. SOMETHING.
