Dear Fringe...

Fringe. FRINGE. Let me begin by saying that you are wonderful, and epic, and awesome, and a little like fanfiction but in a really, really good way. That said, I am currently having some ISSUES that I feel we should discuss. You know, for the good of our relationship.

Spoilers through 4x04 - )

I agree. We -the characters and the audience- have put so much work into the last 3 years that for them to just be gone would really irk me.

I'm still loving Fringe, but it is moving a bit slowly this season. There's so much we don't know about where we are that I feel like these season 1 MOWs are a little out of place.

Yes! I mean, I understand an info dump would be awkward, and so far they've done very well with slipping bits of information into conversation to let us see how the timeline's changed. I'm still having trouble orienting myself, though, and I'm still missing some of the events and characters that now happened totally differently or not at all.

I completely agree. I wouldn't have been happy if the first episode was a bunch of people sitting around going "...and that's how we got to where we are now" either. It's just very difficult to be patient, lol.

Ok, ignoring why it took so long for me to find this..

I want to hug you for saying all this. There is nothing I don't agree with. The season needs to pick a bit of speed, I want to know what has changed vs stayed the same.

And I'll admit, I almost didn't watch Fringe because of Joshua Jackson (childhood/teenage years nightmare there), I'm glad I did, but he needs to show some emotion, stoic or not, don't want a robot.
