agreed to buy me a car today. id say i have purchased it already, but its not paid for so i suppose its just an agreement thus far.
99 sunfire GT. black.
a little bit more money than i wanted to spend on it, the rest of my day will probably be spent getting things ready for ebay.
the interior is going to need a good and thorough scrubbing. if i had to guess, it looks like whomever owned it before i did was a mechanic or had some sort of job where being dirty was the norm. looks like the seats were covered though. those were pretty clean.
its not really my "ideal" car i guess, but overall its not too bad. i wish it had started its life somewhere other than WNY though. my old car was 3 years older, had almost 50,000 more miles on it, and an almost spotless bottom still, because it was from south carolina. whereas this one is showing some rust already because its 89,000 miles were from around here (orchard park to be exact)
its pretty quick though, the one thing i noticed is at highway speeds, when you step on the gas the car has some good acceleration to it (when already in 5th gear). feels like a V6 in that instance. the clutch is reeeeally tight also, feels brand new. mechanically it seemed to be in top shape. so thats good, but it wont matter a whole lot if the body rots out around it.
i want to be excited about it but i feel as though i may be settling a bit.
