On Straight Razors

I wanted to make a little informational post for you all because I know terminology and details can sometimes make or break a story.

I'll put it behind a cut, because it's a little long and picture-heavy.

This was really cool. I'd often thought the same thing during the movie, he would've chipped them up terribly, and he pressed the blades into people's neck's really hard.(The ones he wasn't killing.) I wonder if they were made very dull to make sure he didn't kill anyone. It seemed a bit unrealistic, because you wouldn't need that much force to do what he did. I don't know much about razors but I know a decent amount about knives and edges in general. I didn't notice the strop thing until you mentioned it, he is doing it backwards! Silly homicidal barber.

The funny thing is, Pirelli's stropping correctly. Though Toby wiping the blade is very frightening! I was just certain he was going to lose a finger, because a towel isn't much protection. :o

Oh damn! I never even thought of that. That is really true. Ha ha could you imagine if he had his fingers lopped off, then he went through the rest of the movie not having them, then when he bites into the meat pie at the end of the film and finds the finger. That would be the best irony ever! First time I saw that, I automatically thought of Wendy's lol.

Hehe, there is no way I could resist this fandom. I haven't immersed myself yet, but I doubt that is far off.
