I won the raffle to meet the cast of Dr. Horrible - they were lined up as follows: Nate, Felicia, NPH, Zack, Maurissa, Jed, Joss (Zack and Jed may have been reversed, I'm not sure).
Anyway, I told Nate that I really enjoyed him in "Waitress" but was relieved to see the subtlety of his Captain Hammer performance as I was worried he wouldn't be able to reel it in. He threw back his head and laughed, then went off on his subtle technique so I was smuggity-smug.
Next I told Felicia I loved "The Guild", she was so cute and smiley!
Next, NPH - I told him that one of my prized possessions was a CD of him singing songs from Sondheim's "Evening Primrose" - he leaned forward conspiratorially and said, "Did you know that I got to sing that for Mr. Sondheim himself?" I said, "Oh my god, you're kidding, did you DIE?" and he responded, "It was awesome, he was really sweet about it." I then told him that I thought that he and Felicia should do "Evening Primrose" together since their voices were so well matched, and he tilted his head in a considering way and said, "Huh, that could work." Then he smiled and thanked me again.
Blah blah, told the rest of them they were great, asked Joss to sign a couple of "Unshelved" strips for Bill Barnes, then told Joss that he just made me happy. He said, "thanks?" and looked (appropriately) nervous.
