HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAT AND ASHLEY!!! I'm so sorry I couldn't come down, Nat. Love you, and we are definitely gonna party it up next week!
Okay...so as it turns out I couldn't drive down this weekend, but I'm going to mia the next, so it's all good. Today was a nice day, though it's been cloudy and damp. It's always like that here, so it's nothing new. I didn't end up getting the position as Director of Academic Affairs, but I got the chair for Homecoming skit! So now I have to write, choreograph, and direct the Homecoming skit for Honors Congress. Any ideas, anyone?
I also had my second interview at OASIS, and I'm probably going to get the job because the woman called me a few hours later and left me a message.
Today's MUN meeting was eventful...they're pushing to have the conference this year in Berkeley, California instead of New York. I say any of those places is fine with me. Shit, I'd get to miss school for a week.
And in world news...it seems that Hugo Chavez is pushing to inject heads of state into private and public Venezuelan banks so as to have governmental input in the inner workings of these entities. Anyone else as weirded out by this? Venezuela's economy was booming not so long ago, and sadly this attempt at centralization of command is leaning a little toward a sugar-coated communistic approach disguised in the form of "socialism"; not to mention that Venezuela just happens to be allies with Fidel Castro. But..that is neither here nor there.
OMG I HAD A REVELATION. Today in economics I finally learned the difference between quantity demanded and total demand. I didn't learn anything from Perez senior year apparently, because everything the prof is lecturing on seems like new material to me.
Tomorrow (or should I say today?) I have a French and Chemistry quiz...hope I do well. I have yet to master the art of imperatives and conjugating verbs in the infinitive.
Dinner today was nice, thanks to Chef Cire. Magnifico!
And omg for anyone out there who watched Real Sex on HBO, there is this new British import show that helps couples in need of sex therapy...it's soo good. I love how Britons are so open about their sexual lives. It's on Thursdays at 11.
