The best birthday
Today was the bes birthday in a LONG time!
It didn't start out great-James was sick but it got infinietly better the later it got.
Gary called me to see if I was ok since I wasn't at work and wished me a happy birthday.
Ella called me to wish me a happy birthday from Croatia.
JonD sent me a great card, complete with yak(?) hair. I love jonquil_d, he's so sweet.
I have never had so many people wish me happy birthday before. Thank you Facebook! It makes me feel all warm and gooshy inside.
It was wonderful. She got on the computer and checked her e-mail and waited while we ate dinner.
While Thomas made my birthday cake. For those of you who don't know, my son (12) makes the best damn lava cake in the world! Everyone that has had it loves it and wants the recipe. It is heavenly and I have no clue how he does it.
Anyway, Thomas got it started then came outside. He and Nick (Lizs' friend who brought her down) played football; well just tossing the ball. James showed off his mad bike skills to Liz and Nick then got Liz to play basketball with him. Watching them all play made my heart happy. :-D
The mosquitoes were eating us alive so we came in to chat. It was so nice to have my baby girl back at home. She told me about her new apartment and job. Her new roommates. It was wonderful.
My mom and De came by (and Dad later). My mom gave me a gift certificate for The Yarn Haven, my favorite yarn store. Plus she gave me a coupon for 25% off of any order up to $100. WOOT! I am going to Knoxville and do some yarn shopping!
So, yeah, best birthday!
